October brings the Lumispa Marketing Focus! We now have all of the Content ideas we could possibly need for our Instagram stories, now we are levelling it up and helping you with some Sales & Marketing tips on how to BEST promote the Lumispa. We recommend you still use the Lumispa content for inspiration, which can be found on the Lumispa Business page.

Here we will bring you 4 weeks of content with a focus each week on different aspects of sales & marketing tips to grow your business.

week 1 - day 1

TOP TIP - Skincare in the DM’s

When speaking to new customers, people who have voted on your polls or even current customers - make sure to lead with their SKINCARE. Before you disclose the price, even if they have asked, make sure you are clear from the beginning that you want to HELP them with their skincare concerns. e.g ‘‘Of course I can send over some more information for you, if you let me know your current skin concerns (if any) I can also help to recommend what’s best for you!’’

You can recommend the correct cleanser with the Lumispa AND extra products by using the super useful BWY ‘Skincare regime Builder’ page — you can send them the link for them to decide for themselves if you wish!

Todays action : Direct message 10 people asking if they like help with their skincare regime and get used to using the BWY Skincare regime builder page.

week 1 - day 2

TOP TIP - Stories, Make it your OWN, be YOU

Keep your stories lifestyle based. Don’t just share the Lumispa on your stories, make sure to incorporate more about you and what you do day to day etc.

If you’re new to Instagram stories, just get started! It’s really not as scary as it seems once you’ve done it a few times. Look through the content on the website and pick what works for you - always think about adding value!

Todays action: Get a story up that includes more on YOU, think about 3 things that you are passionate about ( as well as the Lumispa of course) and always try to include them day to day. e.g mindset books, gym, food!

TOP TIP - Stay true to your BRAND. This is what people buy into, YOU. Introduce your business/products into your grid with a natural flow through your lifestyle and other content, that speaks true to who you are as a person.

Ask yourself, WHO AM I? Choose at least 3 things that you can focus your content around such as “fitness, positivity, makeup, family, travel etc”. Furthermore, before posting, check to ensure you are adding value and posting something that will engage your audience

Todays action: Prepare, prepare, prepare! Sit down and take a look at your page. Decide your brand, a colour scheme if you feel it needs a freshen up and make a plan of content for the week ahead! (A great time saver alongwith the two links below).

week 1 - day 4 - Building relationships

Top tips

50% cold contacting , 50% relationship building

Find people who are LIKE YOU and engage with them, ask if they’d be happy for you to follow each other, start talking just have a conversation - be interested in them

Utilise your CURRENT followers by engaging with their posts and asking them a question… ‘ Would you mind if I sent you over a 2 question survey that i’m doing?’ When they say ‘Yes’ Ask if they have any cleansing devices in their bathroom AND if so which one?’. When they answer just say thank you and THEN get back in touch a few days later asking if they’d like some info on a device you love!

Spend 10 minutes a day liking and commenting on peoples posts and their stories, be an ACTIVE user

Top Up Kits!

These make up a majority of my sales and its a great way to expose your customers to other products and get more points!

I would start with messaging all your customers with saying:

’’Hey XX,

Let me know when your ready to order a new cleanser or want to try a new head for your lumi as the top up kits deals are really good!’’


Its not too pushy and spikes interest to what the deals are.

Top Tip: Order the products for your top up kit and do an unboxing on your story that you can save to your highlights. I change mine each month. I build up the excitement and say OMG the October Top UP kits have just arrived! I always offer a free product with mine which will come out of the retail profit that I have made.

TOP TOP TIP: I always add in a limited edition head in Black so I make the deal exclusive and limited on stock!

I show myself using the products in the top up kit for exposure and always make reference to them. For example when using my Lumi I will show myself with the black limited edition head in firm and talk about why I use this for a deeper exfoliation.

When offering the kits to my customers and those who ask on prices I will give two options. Top Up Kit 1 and Top Up Kit 2. Here is my current message I am sending out for October. I am giving away free products that I earned from my prime kits.

Top Tip for the inbox: Ask a question at the end so they come back to you. I then send a screen shot from the product catalogue for their cleanser match and ask them which kit are they interested in and offer to send over more information on how those products work (again I send over the product page)

The Key will be following up. I wait 24 hours and follow up and see if they would like to order or reserve a kit on payment plan (I charge £20 to reserve the kit and let them pay the balance when they want delivery)
